In the event the insured feels their identity might have been stolen, they contact ID Advocates. They sign a power of attorney allowing ID Advocates to investigate. If there has been identity theft, the company will then take all steps necessary to restore the insured to pre-event status. That includes contacting credit agencies, credit bureaus, law enforcement, lenders, banks, anyone needed to clear the insured's good name.
